It is in 1990 that Miquel Barcelo began to paint on the topic of the bullfight, with the success which one knows. The artist carried out this year a hundred of works dealing with this subject. It is important to notice that there are only 6 prints of Barcelo, all lithographs, with this topic. Barcelo reconsidered more recently the subject with some engravings on the bullfighting included in the Lanzarote series.
